The competition brief calls for the re-design of the interior of a typical room (18 – 24m2) in a Greek four-star urban hotel.
The specifications are determined by the Greek National Tourism Organisation. The infamous hotel wallpaper is translated into a digital shell of moving images and information. The interior, made up from 47 HD monitors, magnifies all that the relationship between an indoors landscape and the urban outdoors entails - contrast, mirroring, continuity, disruption, etc.
From the sunset of Oia to a rural landscape and from iconic films to social media, the Ever-Changing TV Room projects on its walls everything you will ever want to see or need to know. It proposes hospitality as a digital sanctuary.
